You will be able to store goods that you do not want on a daily basis, but they are important enough to keep for personal or business use.

Obviously you can’t store anything which might cause a fire or damage to other people’s property. For example you can store a chain saw, but you need to take the petrol out of its tank.

Equally you cannot store anything illegal. We are regularly visited by either the Police or Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise for routine inspections.

On the A133 in Elmstead Market, Essex. Its 4 miles from Colchester, 11 miles from Clacton and 13 miles from Harwich.

Just off the A137, down the B1352 is Manningtree. Our facility is right next to the main line train station, 10 miles from the center of Colchester

We have a small sister facility at East Gores Farm, near Coggeshall CO6 1RZ which you can use if it suits you better.

Yes your goods need to be insured when they are stored with us.

Little Green Self Storage can provide you with affordable insurance for your goods, alternatively you can store your goods through your own Insurance Policy.

We will require evidence of your Insurance Policy showing our full address and full replacement value of your goods stored within the faciility.

Ask one of the team for details of our insurance.

You will have full access to your room during our opening hours, and you are able to give others access to your room. You will need to make us aware of the additional key holders names and contact numbers. We will then provide you with additional entry fobs for a small charge.

You can sign up online, or ring us to arrange a meeting time at the facility.

Once you have signed up we will require a little time with you face to face. We will need to see relevant identification showing your photo and your address - i.e. two of the following items:

• Driving Licence
• Passport
• Utility Bill
• Employee ID card
• Student Pass

This protects you, us and our other customers.

Once you have signed into the facility, you will be able to access during the opening times listed on the website.

Our Elmstead store is open from 8am - 6pm from Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on Saturdays.

Our Manningtree store is open from 8am - 6pm from Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on Saturdays.

Our East Gores store is open from 7am - 7pm from Monday to Saturday.

You pay monthly in advance and only pay a 14 day fully refundable deposit when you reserve your room.

We keep our pricing as simple as possible.

If you want to leave you need to give just 7 days notice, leave your unit tidy and return your key fob.

We can offer cheaper rates if you commit to a 6 or 12 months stay in advance.

We insist that all customers pay by standing order via PayPal. This keeps our administration costs, and thus our prices, low. If you don’t currently have a PayPal account, registering is a quick 2 minute process.

It is your responsibility to ensure payments are made promptly and efficiently. The cost of dealing with part payments and payment plans is unsustainable for a facility of this size. So if you don’t pay please expect us to take rapid action which may result in the sale or destruction of your goods and legal action against you personally. Please see our terms and conditions which are in line the industry standard.

Your room will be locked with your own lock.

Access to the facility will be by keyfob entry. CCTV covers the building and is remotely monitored 24/7. Intruder and Fire system are linked to BT Red Care which means we have a direct link to local fire and police services.

Simply put, we want to ensure that your items are safer in our facility than they are in your own home.

If you lose the key fob, inform us immediately and we will deactivate it. We will then issue you with a replacement for a small fee of £8.00 each.

We will only open your store room if we suspect there’s something dangerous or illegal inside, or if we’re required to do so by Law.

Remember that our terms forbid you from storing anything illegal (including drugs) or explosive or inflammable in your rooms.
